Lake Hayes House

This style of house is slightly different than my other posts, it is a Mason and Wales designed home in the Central Otago region of the South Island  with its form giving reference to the physical and regional aspects of the site. Local stone has been used to ground it in to the surrounding environment. The broad platform provided, supports a much lighter horizontal steel and glass structure that relates to the flat pane and stillness of the lake.
Rock, sandstone, marble and blackened metal have been used in the homes construction.
